Of course, certain services can only be provided to you if you provide SSP Telecom with such information; therefore, SSP Telecom may not be able to provide you with these services if you decide not to provide the personal information necessary for the performance of its services.

Personal Information We Collect

Recruitment-related information: your resume, information about your education and work history, RAMQ number, citizenship, immigration status and documentation (if applicable), information regarding professional affiliations, and other information relevant to potential recruitment by SSP Telecom;
Information regarding your preferences: your feedback regarding our services, your responses to our surveys, and other similar information;
Evidence of your consent for a specific purpose, as needed, in circumstances where such consent is required for the processing of personal information; and
Information regarding a third party: their name and contact information, as needed. If you submit personal information regarding a third party to us, you affirm that you have obtained the necessary consent from that person for the use and disclosure of the personal information by SSP Telecom, as described in this privacy policy.

SSP Telecom does not target individuals under the age of eighteen (18) with its services. Consequently, it does not knowingly collect information from children or any other person under the age of 18. If we discover that we have collected personal information from minors, we will take the necessary steps to safely and securely delete that information from our servers.

Purposes of the Data Collection

We collect your personal information from you and through our interactions with you, as follows: (a) while providing services to you; (b) when you sign up for our training courses, newsletters, contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions; and (c) when you visit us at trade shows and conferences.

If we need to collect personal information about you from a third party, we will obtain your consent in advance, unless the law permits us to do so without your consent.

We are committed to limiting the amount of personal information we collect to what is necessary and appropriate to achieve the purposes set forth in our privacy policy. Your Rights of Access and Correction

You have the right to access and obtain information about the personal data we hold about you. If the information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, you have the right to have it corrected or supplemented. We will respond to your request for access or correction within thirty (30) days of receiving your request. Certain circumstances may prevent us from providing you with access to your personal information, such as when our records contain references to other individuals, or when your personal information cannot be disclosed for legal or security reasons.

Please be advised that there are only two (2) situations in which you may request that we delete personal information we hold about you: (a) if the information is outdated, inaccurate, or misleading, and (b) if its collection, disclosure, or retention is not authorized by applicable laws.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following cases:

to service providers—with whom we have established contractual obligations regarding the security and confidentiality of your personal information—who provide us with website, application development, hosting, maintenance, and other services, such as website hosting, data storage, data analysis, payment processing, order fulfillment, IT and infrastructure services, customer service, delivery and email administration, verification services, and other similar services. Please be aware that we may disclose your personal information without your consent in the following cases:

to a third party if the information is necessary for the purpose of collecting a debt you owe us;

Finally, SSP Telecom does not sell or exchange the personal information it holds for payment.

Your right to withdraw your consent to the use or disclosure of your information

At any time, you may withdraw or modify your consent to our use or disclosure of your personal information, or refuse to participate in certain uses and disclosures we propose, subject to applicable legal and contractual restrictions. When it comes to sending marketing messages, we give you plenty of choices regarding the use and sharing of your personal information. You can choose not to:

Receiving marketing messages from us: If you no longer wish to receive promotional emails (such as information about new products, promotional offers, and events) from us, you can unsubscribe by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any promotional email;

When you contact us for this purpose, please provide your full name and the email address and/or mailing address you used when you registered or made a purchase.

Please also note that if you opt out of receiving promotional messages from us, we may still send you important administrative messages, and you cannot opt out of receiving these administrative messages. For example, when you place an order, we will continue to confirm your order and its shipping status via email. Disclosure of Your Personal Information Outside Quebec

We store your personal information in Canada. However, in the course of our business operations, some personal information and business data may be stored on systems located in the United States. We may store and process the personal information in our care in any country where we engage third-party service providers (whether elsewhere in Canada or in the United States). By using SSP Telecom’s services, you agree that your personal information may be transferred outside your country of residence, and that privacy protection rules may differ in the country to which it is transferred. SSP Telecom employees who have access to your personal information

We have taken steps to ensure that the only SSP Telecom employees who have access to your personal information are those who need to know it, who need access to it to perform their duties and responsibilities, or whose roles reasonably require access to such information. We ensure that these individuals are bound by a duty of confidentiality. Security measures in place to protect personal information

We implement all necessary security measures to protect the personal information we hold.

Please also be aware that we may use third-party cloud service providers that offer hosting, data storage, and other services in accordance with terms and conditions to which we adhere. These service providers state that they apply adequate security measures to protect the information contained in their systems.

Please exercise caution when providing us with personal information over the Internet or when accessing SSP Telecom’s online services using a Wi-Fi network or a public network.

We also have a structured response plan in place in the event of a security incident and maintain a log for this purpose. Only government authorities and law enforcement agencies, such as the Commission d’accès à l’information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, may access this log upon request, in accordance with applicable laws. Please be aware that if a security incident posed a risk of serious harm to your privacy, we are required to notify you promptly and report it to the Commission d’accès à l’information.

Retention and Destruction of Your Personal Information

We will retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Policy. We have implemented secure methods for destroying your personal information, ensuring that it cannot reasonably be reconstructed under the circumstances.

Complaint Handling Process

Within sixty (60) days of receiving your complaint, we will review it, conduct an internal investigation, and, if necessary, implement appropriate measures, including, where appropriate, modifying our internal practices. We will notify you of our decision and any measures taken, if applicable, within ninety (90) days of receiving your complaint.
